Bishop Donn Hall, Ph.D.

Overseer

 

     The Bishop of Zion Baptist Church, Kinsale, VA., Donn R. Hall has made himself available and usable to do whatever it takes to glorify and edify the Kingdom of GOD. A native of Jonesboro, LA, he has been the senior pastor of Zion Baptist Church, Kinsale, VA since 2002.   

     He has been proclaiming the word of God for over 40 years and delivers a prophetic word that shows his deep commitment to serving the Lord and ministering to the needs of all people. This word is manifested in the passion and boldness in which he preaches. Bishop Hall's desire is that those who hear, may receive and believe what “Thus says the Lord”.   

     He is married to the former Shirley A. Reese.  He has 2 sons; Donn Jr. and Nicolas (Sharnta); one daughter; Dionne (Edward Jr.); and 6 grandchildren: Jazmine, Came'Ron, Trinity, Edgerin, Bri'Elle, and
Edward III.

Shirley A. Reese-Hall

"Lady Sister"

     Sister Hall is a retired school teacher of over 25 years. She is a native of Gibsland, LA and loves to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Her passion of seeing souls saved extends far beyond the norm. She is willing to help anyone that she can.

     Sister Hall is also the Music Ministry Director at Zion Kinsale and is gifted in singing, piano, and keyboard. One of her most well-known quotes is: "I'm Saved and my name is in my "slot" in the Lamb's Book of Life!!!" One of her favorite scriptures is Galatians 2:20 (KJV), "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

     She and Bishop Hall will celebrate 48 years of marriage in April 2024.

Tanesha Young
Youth Pastor
     Born and raised in Fairmont, NC by her parents Deacon James, Sr. & Minister Annie Ellison, the Lord deemed it necessary to transition Minister Young to Virginia a few years ago. She is now employed with the Virginia Department of Corrections as a Counselor. Tanesha also teaches part-time at Rappahannock Community College, and is the owner/operator of Sweet T Cakes & Catering. 
     In addition to being the Youth Pastor of Zion Kinsale's Generation That Will Obey Youth Ministry, Tanesha often renders her gifts of decorating and hospitality. She is also a worshipper on the Zion Kinsale Praise Team (F.L.O.W.), and liturgical dancer/flagger with the GTWO Youth Dance Team.
     Tanesha is married to Bobby Young. They have three daughters and one son: Tanasia, Tania, Talia, Zion; and recently welcomed their first grandchild, K'hari Isaiah. Tanesha loves spending time with her family and friends. Her motto is: "I may not have much but I love to cook, c'mon on by!"
